luck be a lady tonight

so i've been having a good time lately. there's reason to smile. i mean, don't get me wrong, i still find plenty to bitch about (just ask john). but things aren't too bad nowadays. yesterday john and i went to the getty center for the first time ever and it was so beautiful. the most picturesque spot in LA if you ask me. and all for the very low price of....ZERO dollars! i love it.

then last night i won a little game of texas hold 'em. 99% of the people reading this blog already know that i won because they were there and i took their money. but still, i thought i'd just bring it up again because i was so thrilled. winning is really great, isn't it? granted, if i were to gamble in vegas, i'd lose all my money in about two minutes flat, but still. it's nice to enjoy the high for a bit. besides, who ever gets dealt 2 aces?! it's just unheard of i tell you.

the weather here's pretty goddamn great too. beautiful and warm and sunny.

and i was given a brand new cell phone for free! and it's a camera phone. AND a camcorder! and with the phone i got three months of free service! and i downloaded the 90210 theme song as my ring tone!

and i bought a new dress for no reason which i'll never wear. and i'll probably return it but right now i think it's cute.

and there's not much to do at work. so i'm free to play on the internet.

so everything's pretty great. except that as i look over our guest list for the wedding, i see that we already have 280 people on it. and that's without all the people we're forgetting. and that's with a reception location that holds 180. hmm....280 people crammed into a 180 person space. interesting. we may have to start cutting some people. don't be offended....
