a new view
About a week ago, I tried a new route to work in the hope of shaving a cool 5 minutes off of my hour commute. (I know you're saying "holy crap! an hour?!" but really, I don't mind the long morning drive. In fact, I'm usually parking my car at work and wishing I could listen to the morning talk radio show another 10 minutes.)
Anyways, my first time attempt at this new route took me down Hollywood Boulevard and I couldn't help but notice this huge building.

There are currently flags waving in front of the building so even if you wanted to escape it, you couldn't. Please note the "Psychiatry - An Industry of Death - Museum". While that does sound pleasant, I opted not to stop. My number one reason? This building SCREAMS Scientology. It's funny because nothing on the outside of the building says Scientology and even if you go on the website, there is no mention of Scientology or L. Ron Hubbard. But if you google it, it becomes clear that it's all the work of the great Xenu, Tommy Cruise, and the rest of the good folks that practice Dianetics. They are always good for a little amusement.
As a side note, I really wanted to post about "The Sopranos" but then realized that no one who may read this watches the show. Too bad too because last night's episode fits perfectly into the psychiatry and death discussion.
