Still living the cuba libre life in Praha....

My god, it's been a month since my last post. All that means is that i am having a very good time in Prague. Granted, it's a lifestyle I couldn't really keep up...or could I? There has been much talk about why our crew goes out every night. There are three reasons as far as I can tell. 1) This town (especially the center where we are staying) is all bars and restaurants. That's all there are. And they are very good. 2) Everyone gets along for the most part so people want to socialize. And, most importantly, 3) there is nothing to do if you go home after work. No curling up on the couch because there is no TV. No take-out food so you have to go out to eat. These three things have lead to a very active social calendar. :)

Surprisingly, I have mainly been hanging out with Czechs. I think because I am pretty much the only person from my department (production) and I am younger than most of the American crew. But the Czechs are my age and fun and damn funny. Because I like these people so much, I get a little sad because, at this point after 2 months of hanging out, I really really wish I spoke Czech. Most of them speak perfect English but there are a few that struggle with it, and I see them get frustrated that they can't say more than really simple sentences to me. Of course, it's not their fault as I'm in their country and should be able to speak their language. But besides stringing together 'hello', 'thank you', 'goodbye', 'bill', 'tits', and 'fuck this', I can't communicate much. Though that sentence has gotten me far.....
