watching, playing, going, doing
Things I've been doing lately...
Watching a new show (new to me...it's in its 2nd season) - "Burn Notice" on USA. The billboards are all over town so I thought I'd check it out. Not bad actually.
Going to a (Hawaiian-themed) bridal shower for my soon to be new sister-in-law.
Booking tickets. Lots of tickets. Tickets to Colorado. Tickets to Austin, TX. Tickets to Italy. Tickets to Prague. I will take more flights in September and October than I usually take in two years. Racking up those frequent flier miles.
Visiting my parents' new vacation house on Lake Cuyamaca. PQ Posse, we have a new vacation destination!
Tuning in to David Simon's new project "Generation Kill" on HBO. Clearly I will watch anything from the team that brought me "The Wire". This miniseries did not disappoint though. Very well done as expected with moments of comedy and obvious drama.
Playing with the new iPhone software. More importantly, playing with the new iPhone application "Shazam". This shit has changed my life. No kidding. The iPhone changed my life and now this application has blown my mind. It's an app for identifying music. When you press a button on your phone, the application "listens" to the song playing and tells you the artist, song and album name. And I'm not just talking about the fact that it recognized the new Coldplay song. That's too easy. It also recognized covers of songs as well as random songs by French people that I have. !!?*&!! The future is now people.
