and i'm off

Leaving in an hour for the airport to remember 9-11 and to catch my flight to Rome. My friend just texted me that she will NOT be picking me up at the airport which leaves me on my own to find my way to the apartment we rented. She suggested the metro but, guess what? That doesn't sound that awesome after a 14 hour flight in a middle seat and carrying my suitcase. (though i did manage to fit everything in a carry-on size bag!) So I will be forking over some of my Euros for a taxi and a cab driver who will make fun of me in a foreign language and charge me double what the ride should be. Looking forward to it. :-)
