"I need a hero!"

Quick observation....
Footloose is on right now and I happened to catch the very climatic scene where Ren plays chicken with the evil Chuck. What I just noticed? The beautiful Ariel tosses up her hat and the race starts and that awesome song "Holding Out for a Hero" blasts on. It's exciting. The song is pumping and it's fast. And then I realize that all this tension comes during a tractor race. I use the term "race" loosely because, from what I can tell, the tractors are going as fast as me walking down the street. Literally. Yet we're supposed to be swept up in this exhilarating scene. Turns out, I was swept up when I was 10...and I guess I still am. Just blogging about it now.
