so yesterday i was cruising back to LA from San Diego and just enjoying the drive. with the window open, the radio blaring, and traffic moving on the 405, i was happy. that's when the song came on. bananarama's 'cruel summer'. great song. but it always, always, ALWAYS, reminds me of something. and you know what that something is? well, if you're brian soika, you probably do. yup, it's a little recent masterpiece that you may have seen called "The Karate Kid". and that song is in that movie. hence, the song and the movie rule. if you haven't watched the movie recently, check it out. it has so many layers of greatness that i've lost count. BUT, with the help of a website that brian discovered, i can think about them all at great lengths. check it out.
