happy friday

no, really. happy friday. HAPPY. it's a good day! i guess you caught me in a rare happy, go-lucky, bubbly type of mood, but here it is.

lately a lot of people around me - a LOT of people around me, in LA, SD, northern california, and across the country - seem to be in a sad mood. what's going on these days? is something in the air? in a true ying and yang type of relationship, i, of course, am in a good mood. which makes these sad moods even more troubling. especially since these are wonderful people whom i love and who deserve to be enjoying life like i am. to me, just even with today, life is pretty great. the weather is a perfect and gorgeous 80 degrees. the weekend is coming up. i'm still smiling from a great chinese dinner and crappy movie night last week. i had a ton of fun taking down 3 pitchers of sangria on wednesday. i'm sitting at a boring job in a beige cubicle but i've got a great big window with a view of tons of different types of people crossing the street to go into the mall. i'm searching for a wedding dress on the internet and laughing at the lacy, puffy dresses that some people choose. march madness is about to start. and even though stanford will lose right away, i'll still get amusement out of watching the boys go crazy as some 19 year-old makes a last second three-pointer.

see? life is pretty fricking awesome. it's wonderful and rad and way too short to be spent worrying about the angry voicemail that my boss left me this morning. and this is coming from a mean heartless bitch who's always sarcastic and who was nicknamed 'smiley' by her high school softball coach because she always had a pissed-off expression on her face.
