my day is so miserable and busy that i'm doing the only logical thing which is blogging and putting the other 30 things on hold

i stole this from taryn but that's okay because she stole it from her friend who stole it from someone else.

1. Grab the book nearest you, turn to page 18, find line 4, and write down what it says:

"Ah yes, politics...a strife of self-interests masquerading as a contest of principles." - Inspector Clouseau (played by Steve Martin...okay, fine. it's a script...but i don't have any books at the office!)

2. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?

my phone. always my phone. i am chained to the thing.

3. What is the last thing you watched on tv?

i guess it has to be last night's episode of the shield. man, that show rules.

4. Without looking, what time do you think it is?

10:15am

5. Now look at the clock. What is the actual time?

11:01am

6. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?

my portable heater...the fan is pretty loud but it keeps my legs warm in this artic corporate environment.

7. When did you last step outside? What were you doing?

on my way into work...7:35am this morning...stopped at ralphs to get a little potted flower plant as a good-bye gift to my 2nd assistant. i'm so thoughtful.

8. Before you came to this website, what did you look at?

the usual morning pages.... cnn (so i can try to know what's going on), imdb (so i can read the entertainment news and celebrity gossip), and then all of the blogs. good times.

9. What are you wearing?

my boss is out of town and i knew today would suck hardcore, so i traded my skirt and heels for my jeans and boots. love it.

10. Did you dream last night?

i had a nightmare that work was going to suck today and, guess what? it does. damn travel agents, overqualified appicants, the copy machine, and obnoxious co-workers.

11. When did you last laugh?

it seems like forever ago but it must have been recently. two nights ago sushi probably when the boys were funny. or was i funny? i don't remember because i was drunk and love sake. but someone was damn funny.

12. What are on the walls of the room you are in?

MGM posters. lots of them. some recent awful movies, but some great old musicals too.

13. Seen anything weird lately?

actually, yes. john and i were walking out of the PQ Blockbuster when we saw a dad with his little boy right in front of the door. the boy was standing in the front flower planter facing the store. he had his pants around his ankles and was pissing into the dirt, about 2 yards from the front door. his little penis hanging out. what good parenting.

14. What is the last film you saw?

sadly, it was ella enchanted. i was bored, my little sister wanted to see it, so i went. it's a kids movie. i know. don't tease.

15. Would you consider living abroad?

i don't know. at some times (like now) i think that i wouldn't bat an eye if i had to leave america with all of the crap that is going on. but upon further reflection, i really don't think i could. i'd miss it too much. the awful politics, bad healthcare, good food, fat people, movie theaters with 30 screens, starbucks on every corner, and rude, competitive people. i love it too much.
