walgreens angel
i don't have much to say because i've been busy at work and that's not interesting at all. but this morning i decided i had to go to walgreen's before work. why? because i really needed a radio for work. now, i've wanted a radio at work for a while because i get here before everyone and always wish i could listen to more kevin and bean. but what really motivated me this morning was the fact that quentin tarantino was on kroq. damn that guy is funny. so interesting to me. so i drove to walgreens.
i pulled up and parked in the parking lot and this crazy homeless lady walked up to my car. she stood right next to it and as i got out and hustled towards the door, she kept saying 'god bless you'. before i went into the store i made the casual glance over my shoulder to see if she had moved. nope. she was still standing right next to my car. hadn't moved a muscle. five minutes later i emerged from walgreens, triumphant with a $9.99 radio/tape player. and there was the crazy lady. standing in the exact same spot. i walked toward her and she started saying 'god bless you' over and over again. i was worried that i wasn't going to be able to pull out of my parking spot because she wouldn't move. but the minute i got in the driver's seat, she just waved and walked away. so i guess i'm just appreciative that she guarded my dirty, dirty, scratched-up nissan maxima. no one else has ever done that.
