email in the workplace

working at a corporate giant is not always that fun. when i first arrived here i was blown away by how everything was done over email. and i mean everything. no one picks up the phone here. ever. now, i'm as in love with the internet as the next guy, but i still thought it was weird.

at my company it's real easy to email a billion employees because the minute you start typing someone's name, their address comes up, and bam! you're good to go. well, here's my BIGGEST pet peeve about email misuse. let's say that i email someone a question or ask if they could do something, etc. then the jackass on the receiving end of my email replies back to me BUT CC's MY BOSS AND OTHER SUPERIORS. like to say to them, "look what your assistant's asking." or to say, "guess what higher ups? i'm totally taking care of this." well, good for you douchebag. you get a fucking star. bitch. i hate you and your 1980s shoulder pads.
