5 things

a blatent rip-off from the fabulous taryn.

5 FAVORITE BAD GUYS FROM CHILDHOOD:

1. the faceless pilots with the dark helmets in “Top Gun”
2. the dad in “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” (though he was redeemed at the end)
3. Skeletor
4. Alan Rickman in “Robin Hood Prince of Thieves”
5. and that cute blondie that we all love to hate…Johnny in “Karate Kid”

5 RECENT PURCHASES:

1. new DVD player that is quite small to replace my broken one
2. a MaxStudio outfit that’s too dressy to actually wear anywhere I go
3. a thermometer fork for cooking meat
4. a Chai Latte from Starbucks
5. a camera case for my digital camera

5 RECENT DOUBLE FEATURES:

1. “Lucky 7” and “I Want to Marry Ryan Banks” – go ABC Family!
2. The DaVinci Code and the new Hollywood issue of Vanity Fair
3. “Steel” starring Shaquille O’Neal and the Stanford basketball game – if you haven’t seen “Steel”, get to your local blockbuster now! Perhaps one of the worst movies ever made….or the greatest?
4. “Big Night” and …oh, nevermind…we rented “Big Night” on DVD and then realized that my DVD player was broken
5. the “13 Going on 30” trailer and the “Troy” trailer – but just because I’m bored at work and apple.com trailers rule.

5 REGRETTABLE FASHION STATEMENTS:

1. the circular plastic thing that you would put your t-shirt through to bunch it all up on one side
2. vests – all kinds – embroidered with flowers, with orange desert prints
3. ‘spin art’ t-shirts – the do-it-yourself in the mall variety
4. colorful floral print jean shorts worn over white spandex shorts with lace at the bottom
5. side ponytails

5 THINGS I WANT BUT CAN’T HAVE:

1. a new comfy mattress with a boxspring that isn’t broken – and a gorgeous wooden sleigh bed to go with it
2. john’s house all to myself…(okay, with john)
3. an all-expenses paid honeymoon to fiji with our own bungalow over the water
4. a four day work week with 9 to 5 hours
5. all of my friends scattered about the world to move to los angeles

5 WORST GIFTS I’VE EVER RECEIVED:

1. Homemade tomato sauce and pasta – from a guy who WASN’T Italian. It wasn’t good.
2. the “Pearl Harbor” DVD set
3. a hand-painted watercolor which I still don’t want to hang in my house
4. really ugly jewelry that I had to smile and pretend that I loved
5. a cowboy hat

5 THINGS I NEVER USED TO LIKE BUT DO NOW:

1. some cereals like raisin bran and kix
2. raw vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower in my salad
3. alternative indie rockers – thanks Detroit Street!
4. waking up early
5. girls in los angeles – ha! Just joking!
