back to work

I have hesitated to blog about this because it certainly could fall apart at any moment, but it seems I started a new movie this past Monday. It's very very new and it was very sudden. Friday they hired a director and Saturday I got hired. I was very excited and yet, by today, most of the excitement has been sucked out. I'm back to the grind, to the stress, to being totally consumed by my job. And I've barely even started. There is still no script, cast, locations, department heads, etc. Sadly, once again I'm not working on next year's Oscar picture. One of these days it'd be nice to do that. But, here I am again, starting a really long "summer blockbuster". All I can saw is that it's a film based on a toy. And, really, when you base films on toys, how can you possibly go wrong?
